WA Mining manufacturer posts full order book
The trucks are designed to perform in tough mining conditionsMINING Equipment Spares will manufacture 20 trucks over the next 12 months to deliver custom built trucks to the mining industry.
The Western Australia-based mining company says it has returned from MinExpo 2008 in Las Vegas with a large order book for its multi-purpose service trucks.
According to the company, it will manufacture the large quantity of vehicles after recognising the niche market for custom built trucks.
The trucks are designed to perform in tough mining conditions, with all-wheel-drive and all-wheel steering capabilities, and are said to boost productivity and maximise on-site utilisation
The trucks cost up to $1.9m and have already been supplied to BHP Billiton, Rio Tinto and Orica.
