THE 2010 Queensland Mining and Engineering Exhibition (QME) will be held in Mackay from 27 to 29 July 2010.
Organisers say the event is the single biggest industry event catering for the central Queensland mining sector.
Held every two years, the 2008 event attracted more than 500 exhibitors and over 10,000 visitors – covering mining and related industries.
According to John Gorton Group Exhibition Director, Reed Exhibitions Australia, the fifth edition of QME will again provide visitors with the opportunity to see the latest products and services aimed at these vital industry sectors.
“Established in 1993 and held every two years, QME has cemented a reputation in meeting the needs of Queensland’s mining community and related industries,” said Gorton.
“And as an internationally recognised event, QME traditionally attracts exhibitors and visitors from throughout Australia and overseas markets such as China and India.
“Even in these early stages of the 2010 launch, exhibitor interest has been very strong and all indications are that QME 2010 will be again be the key show for the Queensland mining industry,” he said.
“Visitors will be able to source products and services, see the latest developments and network in a vibrant exhibition environment.
“It’s long been recognised that the face-to-face contact with clients and prospects at exhibitions is a driving force behind companies increasing sales, education and awareness within an industry,” said Gorton. He says that this becomes even more relevant in the current economic climate.
REEDMININGEVENTS has a long-standing and successful track record in delivering return on investment to suppliers and buyers within the mining sector. “We look forwarded to bringing QME back to Mackay – the heart of the Queensland mining industry – in 2010,” he said.
QME is part of the REEDMININGEVENTS structured portfolio of premium mining industry exhibitions owned and operated by Reed Exhibitions Australia.
