POWER Electric Switchboards (PES) has announced that is will be supplying a motor control centre for an upgrade of the Carborough Downs Coal Mine, Queensland. '
The Brisbane electrical manufacturer says the project is set to be completed in November 2009.
It will work in conjunction with fellow Brisbane manufacturers Ausco, and project manager Ausenco.
The introduction of a longwall mining system and development of the coal plant is expected to increase production of the mine’s coking coal and PCI by up to four million tonnes per year.
