Mining companies help rescue operations in WA
The vehicle will help rescue operations in sand dunesA NUMBER of mining companies are funding a six-wheel drive vehicle to help rescue workers recover injured people in Western Australia.
The south-coast town of Esperance will use the all-terrain-vehicle (ATV) to assist rescue operations in difficult coastal terrain.
Esperance State Emergency Service representative, Russell Palmer, says normal four-wheel drives find it difficult to operate in sand dunes and the new vehicle will help reach more difficult areas.
