RIO Tinto’s Argyle Mine invests in new mine-to-mill ore handling system to improve efficiency.
The technology will process diamonds from its underground expansion.
Project director Ed Tota says the crusher and conveyor is more efficient, because miners won't need big dump trucks to move the ore to the surface.
Tota says the mining equipment replaces the need for eight trucks which frees up the congestion in the mine.
