QUEENSLAND Caterpillar distributor Hastings Deering is a major supporter of QREX 2009 which will be held at the Rockhampton Showgrounds from 21 and 23 July 2009.
The organisers say that Hastings Deering supports the event in terms of space, and as a foundation sponsor of the event, which it sees as making an important contribution to the Rockhampton and southern Bowen Basin region.
Hastings Deering says that it will use the QREX trade exhibition to showcase several of its new product in the Compact Construction Equipment (CCE) range of equipment. The company will hold a 203 sq m, its stand 1124 will be one of the largest at QREX 2009.
According to Darren Wilson, Hastings Deering’s Rockhampton Area Manager, there are a number of reasons why the company is taking such a high profile at the event.
Wilson says that the company wants to support the efforts of Rockhampton Regional Council to attract people to the region and for those people to recognise the opportunities offered here. It is also keen to enhance and optimise its profile as a significant contributor to local industry and community.
Wilson claims involvement in QREX is a great opportunity for the company to increase exposure and awareness of the benefits of purchasing from Hastings Deering, as well as increasing the profile and awareness of our Caterpillar product offering.
Wilson says that the event provides the company with the opportunity to identify prospective new customers, increase brand awareness and further develop a relationship with Rockhampton Regional Council and other local authorities.
From a regional perspective, QREX provides an opportunity to highlight the potential that regional industries have to offer both existing businesses and local residents, as well as potential businesses, workers and investors coming to the area. The event is also an important contributor to the local economy, with visitors injecting immediate funds into the town and region in general.
Hastings Deering is responsible for the sales and after sales support of the Caterpillar range of earthmoving and mining equipment.
